One thing I have been randomly obsessed with since I was little? Chandeliers. I remember when I was maybe five, my dad took me to see an orchestra. Why he was the one who took me, I'm not sure, because that's not really his thing. But in any case, I remember walking in the front doors of the theater and looking up and seeing the most spectacular chandelier hanging from the ceiling. I was mesmerized. What kid doesn't like shiny objects?! That feeling of awe has stuck with me and to this day, when I see one I stop to take a longer look. Posh Tots has the best baby and kid-friendly chandeliers I have ever seen. They must look absolutely amazing in person because even in the pictures they are breathtaking. Could you even pick a favorite? Mine might have to be the crystal ship. These three range in price between $3000.00 and $5000.00, but they do have some that could fit more reasonable budgets. Check them out! Or at least fantasize about owning one. Happy Friday!
Whatcha looking for?

Fabulous Table and Chairs Sets from Posh Tots
Saying that I am obsessed with Posh Tots is kind of an understatement. There is just no other place where you can find such a huge variety of everything. If you haven't been to their website, go now. Seriously. Chances are you are either buried in snow or getting soaked by rain, so make a mimosa and navigate towards the magical world that is Posh Tots. You will find things with price tags that will make you faint. You will see playhouses that may be larger than your own house. Chandeliers that look like they came straight out of a fairy tale. Also, you will find DOZENS of themed table and chair sets like these! Kid-sized furniture is just fun to begin with, but themed kid sized furniture? Now you're speaking my language. There is a set that would fit any kid's room or play room. It's impossible to pick a favorite, so I included a few of mine. Go check them (and the rest of the site) out. You won't be disappointed, promise!

Flirty Floral Hamper from Posh Tots
Who took my advice and has tomorrow off, making for a fabulous four day weekend? I am all packed and ready to hit the road for Chicago tomorrow morning. A mini road trip is great for the soul. Lots of thinking and music and... driving. Which reminds me, I need to charge my iPod. So I have been cruising websites for about 45 minutes now trying to find something that strikes me enough to write about. And after all that I choose... a hamper. Why? I don't know. Maybe because I have never written about a hamper before. I know that my hamper lives in the closet. It could have pictures of slugs on it for all I care because no one ever sees it. But I suppose it's different when it's for a baby. Everything for a baby is supposed to be cute and sweet and adorable, even the things that most people don't see. So, the Flirty Floral Hamper from Posh Tots would be a great choice. I love the mixing of different colors and patterns, like a quilt. Except a hamper. The downfall? It's $133.00. For something you throw dirty clothes in. But if you have the big bucks, why not?

The Chelsea Sleigh Crib from Posh Tots
Wow wow wow. How can you not love the idea of a sleigh crib? I could be biased because I just bought a new cherry sleigh bed that I am still in the honeymoon phase with (you know when you buy something and it's still new and you are just obsessed with it? That's the honeymoon phase.) but you have to agree that they are just gorgeous. This crib is part of the new Chelsea Collection from Posh Tots and it's all about elegance. The crib is embellished with relief carvings and a rich silvery finish. And an added bonus: a toddler bed conversion kit is available. For a price of $1320.00, might as well get your money's worth and get a few more years use out of it!

Uhhh WOW. The Imagination Emporium Custom Playroom from Posh Tots.
Sooo... it's pretty much a given that when it comes to going above and beyond with children's toys, Posh Tots really takes the cake. They offer the largest variety of custom made toys, furniture, and playthings that I have seen anywhere as of right now. And before right now, I thought I had seen it all. Then, I feasted my eyes upon the Imagination Emporium custom playroom, exclusively from Posh Tots. All I can say is "Wow." Each one of these amazing creations is custom built and custom painted to fit whichever space you can afford to put it into (sidenote: there is no pricing listed on the website. It says "Call for pricing." So you know that means if you have to wonder, you can't afford it). There is a bit of Willy Wonka, a bit of Dr. Seuss, and maybe even a little bit of Nickelodeon in there. It's amazing. I would play in this thing. Could you imagine being a child and having this in your own house? Bringing friends over and playing in this? I can't. Oh, to be born into money...

The Mamas and Papas Loop Highchair??
While scouring People for celebrity babies in $1000.00 outfits, I came across an article about this futuristic-looking contraption that is in fact a highchair! Read all about it here, this thing is amazing!

Modern Cribs
I feel so unsophisticated for saying this, but I do not like 95% of "modern" furniture that I come in contact with. It seems so sterile and sometimes space-age-looking. I have a particular distaste for monochromatic, hard, oddly-shaped modern couches. I have an overstuffed suede sectional. It is great for reading on, sleeping on, eating on, practically living on. I like traditional. Comfortable. Functional. So for this reason, I do not like most modern cribs. Some look like they are made of plastic and belong in institutions. I was browsing the modern collection at petitetresor.com, and ran into this crib, part of Muu's Sam Collection. This brand is made in the US by a family who has been wood working for three generations. I like that. It can be customized endlessly, including colors and finishes. And it's actually... attractive. The cherry blossoms don't hurt either; they are one of my favorite design elements. Modern carries a hefty price tag as far as this piece goes, it sells for $1175.00, which seems to be the norm amongst cribs of the like.

Mosaic Garden Sleigh Crib
As far as I have found, PoshTots reigns as the king of custom-made baby furniture. (And insanely expensive baby furniture.) They have lighting, decor, cribs, armoirs, beds, dressers, you name it, they have it. Their mosaic items have always jumped out at me because each are of course custom made, but the mosaics are made of real china that has been broken and hand-painted, so no two items are alike. Mosaics are awesome to begin with, so mosaic baby furniture? Yes please. Aside from that, this crib is a sleigh crib (more awesomeness) and made of 100% birch. Gorgeous. Pricey. $2370.00.

Think Spring: Nesting Blue Bird Crib
I know I am really reaching here. It is the day after Christmas. And I am feeling sad because of that. Therefore, I am trying to use the idea of spring and new beginnings to ease my sadness. Is it working? No, because it is not even January yet. In any case, I am currently attracted to spring-like things. This crib fits that criteria perfectly. It is hand painted, and can be done to match any bedding that you would like it to match with. The crib is then finished with an aged greenish tint, because vintage is one of those old things that will never get old. If you have $4150.00, you could add this crib to your baby's homecoming package. Visit poshtots.com for details.

A Crib Fit For A Queen or King!
Aaaand this is another one of those things that goes directly onto the "Things That Just Look Expensive" list. Ornate hand-carved designs and lattice work cover this entire crib and make it look like something that just came out of an ancient castle. Maybe it is filled with diamonds or something. The price, the price, the price... is $4462.00 at ababy.com.

Unique Furniture - Anne Armoire
This strikes me funny. Like I honestly chuckled out loud when I saw it. This is the Anne Armoire excludisvely from poshtots. It reminds me of the clock from Beauty and the Beast because he was always fussy, but this dresser is definitely female. Even if it didn't say "Anne" in the name, I would say it was female. If dressers could have genders anyway. Made of stained maple, this expensive armoire would be the perfect place to store your baby's expensive clothing... for a gigantic price of $7200.00.

All the Rage: MamaRoo
These things are getting rave reviews left and right... but what exactly is a MamaRoo? This space-age-looking baby seat was designed based on the idea that babies love motion: rocking in their parents arms, bouncing, swinging... so this seat does all of that. It is built in with five different motions: 1) A car ride. The seat moves like a figure 8 on its side. 2) The Kangaroo. An up and down bouncing type of deal. 3) The Tree Swing. A side-to-side swinging motion. 4) The Rock. Simple back and forth rocking. 5) An Ocean Wave. Around and around in a big circle. There are also built-in nature sounds, OR, you can connect your mp3 player to create your own mix. Play some Ke$ha and hit the Kangaroo button. Who knows. As if this was not enough, the plush balls that hang from above are decorated in the style of the masters: Van Gogh, Monet, and Seurat. This seat is available for $200.00 (although I imagine they may become the next Tickle Me Elmo and impossible to find) from retailers ranging from amazon to petittresor.com.

Fairy Tale Bed!
This. Is. AWESOME! A cottage playhouse and a bed, all in one. You can't see it in this picture, but inside the door on the left is a staircase leading to the top floor of this ambitious piece of furniture. Since it is hand-painted, like the vast majority of PoshTots' furniture, you can choose from different styles of flowers and colors. Oh, and it only costs $13,430.00. Right in my price range.

Corsican Paris Canopy Crib
When I was little I always wished for a canopy bed. One that had the curtains that you could close to be specific. It would be like my own little fort, and the curtains would be monster-proof. There is just something magical about canopy beds. Now I have only seen a few canopy cribs in my time and this one by Corsican is a stunning example. For a stunning $3200.00, this hand-crafted-to-order beauty can be viewed at jenklairkids.com.
Hmm... A Carrot Dresser.
The vast majority of the furniture that poshtots offers is absolutely breathtaking, both for beauty and price. Then there are pieces like this... things that make you go "Hmm." Obviously it's a dresser, obviously shaped like a carrot. What bedroom theme would this fit into? Peter Rabbit? Warner Brothers? Maybe I am missing the obvious, but I just can't figure it out. This thing is of course hand-crafted and is monstrous at five and a half feet tall. If a carrot dresser fits into your child's bedroom decor, this can be purchased for $9000.00. Hmm.

This Is A Tuffet.
Now I highly doubt Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet this fancy... I mean she was eating curds and whey, not caviar. No way she could have afforded a luxurious designer tuffet. This looks like something out of a Victorian painting... and it's a little obnoxious. If you would like to pay $660.00 for the privilege of owning this, please visit ababy.com.

Hmm....
Baby cradles are an interesting conundrum. They are quite elegant and beautiful and are pretty much guaranteed to "wow" anyone who sees one in your baby's nursery. If not for the design of it, then for the fact that you don't really see them anymore. Honestly speaking, they probably aren't the safest thing for your baby once they learn to sit or pull themselves up because they could just flop right out. So people who have the big bucks are definitely the ones who buy cradles like this, the Magic Garden Iron Baby Cradle from luxurylamb.com, because after dropping the$1699.00 on this, they are just going to have to turn around and buy a crib a few month later. Maybe then it could be used as a dream bed for a little girl's dolls once they are old enough. This cradle is breathtaking, adorned with vines, berries, birds, and bunnies... like sleeping in a private springtime garden. I bet it's good to have the big bucks.

Holy Haute Highchair
Your eyes are not deceiving you... this is indeed a hand-carved highchair with a leopard print seat. A leopard print seat that is made of VINYL. Kind of a throwback of sorts. Why buy the $50 Graco when you can pick up this baby for $885.00? This design comes in many different finishes with various seat cover materials and colors to choose form. This is of course available at poshtots.com

Whimsical Shoe Armoir
So this is kind of neat. At first glance I thought it was a play house, but it is in fact an armoir, constructed from solid foam and cast with hard shell, made to order of course. The little windows and doors are drawers and the top little window is actually a night light. And now I will whimsically state the price of this bad boy... $49,000.00. Aren't some small condos in that price range? Like someone could really pay rent to live in this shoe because it's so expensive. See for yourself at poshtots.com

My How Rocking Chairs Have Changed.
At least for the rich and famous they have. This certainly looks nothing like the rocking chairs that I was subjected to growing up. The one my grandfather practically lived in was painful just to look at. This however, wow. Petittresor boasts that the Chanel Regency Glider is requested by "many celebrities." Well I can see why. Not only is it cute (the pink is a bit much, but you can choose custom colors), it is fulled with down. So you can rock on a cloud rather than on rickety wood. So long as you have $1620.00 to spend on a rocking cloud. I want to take a nap just looking at it.
