A Great Beach Bag by Parrot!

What better time to think about beaches and cruises and palm trees than the dead of winter? While there is no snow anymore here in the Midwest, it is frigid. While it's always a torturous tease to see summer clothes start emerging this time of year, it's great to have the warm weather as something to look forward to... because let's face it: January and February can be miserable. So nothing makes me think tropical cruise more than a fun nautical-themed bag like this one from Parrot. 100% cotton so it is machine washable (in case you spill a daiquiri or something on it!), this bag is perfect to tote around your kids' beach gear. Find it for $107.00 at Children Salon.

Roberto Cavalli's Fall 2012 Floral

Roberto Cavalli floral onesie

Roberto Cavalli floral zip-up jacket

Roberto Cavalli floral baby changing mat

Roberto Cavalli floral infant's bubble dress
Alright, so we all know I went a little ballistic over Roberto Cavalli's peony pattern this past spring. But then again, who didn't? It was such an amazing and refreshing break from their usual (but fabulous) leopard print and ruffles. For fall 2012, Cavalli has done it again with yet another amazing floral pattern. The colors are so rich and warm, and I love the gold-toned ornate details that is tangled up among the flowers. Like the peony pattern was, you can find this pattern on everything from baby bags to rain coats and you can find them ALL at Children Salon.

Designer Pacifier Bags!

Talk about a luxury! Who even has an inexpensive regular bag for their baby's pacifier? Don't most people just use a ribbon or cord to attach it to the actual baby? Well, if that is not fancy enough for you, consider this cute little leopard print pacifier bag from Roberto Cavalli. It cracks me up that this has a strap like a wristlet. Perfectly girly with wild leopard print and gold logo, this would make a very unique gift that you can pretty much guarantee no one else at the baby shower will bring. For a whopping $107.00. And if this one is a bit too feminine for you, how about this blue Zucca print pacifier bag from Fendi:

This one is a bit more low-key and suitable for a chic baby boy. Wouldn't the two make fun boy/girl twin gifts? That is, if you have another $104.00 to spend on this one. Style is not cheap! Find both at Children Salon.

Baby Bag Trend: Patterns.

Patterned bags aren't just for adults anymore! Okay... so baby bags are still carried by adults. But still. I have always been a huge fan of the crazy colorful patterns found on Petunia Pickle Bottom's bags, and it seems like more and more brands are taking that carefree, fun approach. When you reach into your bag to grab the extra pacifier because your child lost theirs for the 1000th time, wouldn't you feel better if you were reaching into a bag like these?? The top bag is Dolce & Gabbana, followed by Kate Spade, then Marc by Marc Jacobs and you can find them ALL at Saks.

New Expensive Baby Things from Fendi!

Many of us love indulgences right? Guilty pleasures? That's why we love to hear about how much money celebrities spend on engagement rings, vacations, birthday parties for their children, custom steering wheel covers... It's disgusting yet somehow fascinating at the same time. I will not get into the politics of how the money spent on a $2000.00 steering wheel cover could be used to provide water for children in impoverished countries.... Aaaaanyway, I love Fendi. I cannot lie, I do. Every season when their new clothing emerges onto their site (they arrange by outfit, shoes included, so you can get the whole look), I swoon. I love high fashion. Will I ever have a baby that wears Fendi? Probably not. Do I appreciate the you-know-what out of it? Absolutely. Take this baby carrier and stroller for example. Gorgeous. A stunning dark navy blue with Zucca print accents? Yes please. Talk about indulgences... the baby carrier costs $369.00 while the stroller costs a whopping $1098.00!! Could you imagine? I cannot, yet I fantasize often. Find both at Children Salon.

A Fabulous Orange Gucci Baby Bag

Wow, I am dragging this morning. After a cup of coffee before leaving for work and a Red Bull on my way to work (please do not judge my inappropriate love for caffeine), I find myself contemplating another cup of coffee. So what says, "Wake up! Good morning!" better than a shockingly orange Gucci baby bag? A world apart from Gucci's usual tan bags, I am absolutely in love with the brightness and impressive size of this bag. I mean you could probably fit your actual baby in it. Don't do that though. Pluses: made of Nylon so it's easy to wipe off and clean, includes another storage bag inside, the straps attach right to your stroller, and of course that recognizable GG pattern covers the entire bag. Minuses: just one really: the price. A nominal $635.00. Definitely not your ordinary bag. If you've got the bucks to spend, find yours at Neiman Marcus.

Burberry Carolina Pebble-Grain Leather Tote

Can you practically feel the soft leather of this bag just by looking at it? Another stunning not-your-average-baby-bag from Burberry, the Carolina pebble-grain leather tote is made of soft calf leather with Burberry's signature goldtone hardware. The chunky buckle straps on the handle are fantastic and this huge, deep bag zips closed so you won't lose your 90 lbs of baby accessories while you are out shopping for more. For $1595.00, this beautiful bag can be found at Saks

Kate Spade Dizzy Dot Baby Bag

Sometimes I wish that new baby bags were rolled out as often as new regular bags. I know it's not practical; you don't get a new baby bag to go with every outfit like you do with regular bags. You get one and use it until your baby no longer requires 20 lbs of backup materials for a 30 minute trip to the grocery store. What this boils down to is me saying in a roundabout way that I wish I had more baby bags to talk about. However, this cute polka dot creation from Kate Spade is one that I have not seen before. I'm loving the shiny lacquered canvas finish because it makes the polka dots stand out even more. The black and white is awesome because it will match any outfit, any jacket, and stroller... and it of course comes with 10,000 pockets and a changing pad. Get yourself an early Christmas gift! Find this bag for $345.00 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Armani Nylon Baby Bag

Purple is traditionally a color of royalty... and it still reigns this fall. Darker, dramatic versions of purple, plum, and mauve are popping up everywhere this fall so it looks like purple fever has still not run its course. I have to be honest, I am still getting used to it. I blame my college roommate's aunt for my dislike of purple. It is her favorite color; and she is maybe the most self-involved person I have ever met. Think: you are telling a story and she interrupts you to start telling her own story which is just sooo much better than yours (because it involves her) and at the end, she forgets you were even talking to begin with. I think we all know someone like that. So lately I feel like I have finally made my peace with purple and it has even snuck its way into my wardrobe. So a perfect example of a dark fall purple: this nylon baby bag from Armani. Nylon isn't the most attractive thing, but it's practical because you can wipe it clean. Besides, the Armani logo kind of negates the un-attractiveness. Nothing like a designer name to spice up an otherwise mediocre bag. If you are still feeling the purple, make this bag yours for $160.00 at Lavish Kids.

A Wild Leopard-Print Baby Bag from Juicy Couture

Oh Juicy Couture... here you go again with your insanely bold leopard print that I normally would hate, yet when you use it on a baby bag (something leopard print is not typically used on), I think it works. You make me feel like a hypocrite and a flip-flopper. Aside from the crazy fun-ness, this bag is a unique shape: it looks more like an actual purse rather than a blah rectangular baby bag. And yet another added bonus: it comes with a branded bib, burp cloth, and changing mat. And what is the price of fun? $466.00, found at Children Salon.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Baby Bag

Tomorrow is Friday! Granted this weekend is not a three (or four) day weekend like the last one, but still. It's the weekend. My coworkers at the dreaded day desk job have told me that my mood gradually improves as the week goes on. As someone who is naturally annoying and chipper the majority of the time, I cannot imagine how many people want to punch "Friday Jenna." Anyway, here we have a beautiful gray (although the picture makes it look almost mauve) quilted nylon baby bag from Marc Jacobs. It has plenty-o-pockets and a changing pad, so along with the looks it also packs the essentials. And the price is actually not so bad: $288.00 at Neiman Marcus.

Oilily Travel Print Baby Bag

Why is it that I have been seeing and hearing about travel everywhere I go lately? Last weekend I found a map of the US (you know.. the kind you could never fold back up correctly that lived in your glove box before GPS) and used a yellow highlighter to draw the route of my ideal road trip for next summer. Two months, 36 states, by myself. Yeah. I need to make it happen. Anyway, Oilily is genius to begin with. Bright, bold, beautiful. Their colorful designs are eye-catching to just about anybody, and this baby bag is no exception. I love the craziness and business. And, due to the material it is made from (mostly polyester), you can wipe it clean! See more details of this $269.00 bag at Children Salon.

Gucci Mama's Bag

A red leather baby bag! How exciting is this? And just in time for fall and the holidays. This bag would look great over just about any outerwear: soft white, black leather, brown suede... the possibilities are endless. Who knew a red bag could be so versatile? Not all of them are, but something about this one just seems different. Branding the Gucci logo all over, this bag has a side pocket, three zip pockets and one open pocket inside, a changing pad, and a bottle holder. Better start saving your money while it's still summer, because this baby will cost you $990.00. Found at Neiman Marcus.

Monnalisa Leopard Print Bambi Suitcase

This post is pretty appropriate for me right now because I have had travel on the brain like none other. I haven't been out of the country in YEARS and haven't even taken a significant vacation in quite a while. Call me a jerk, but I do not understand people who have no interest in seeing what is out there in the world... whether that be in your own country or visiting someone else's. Just a thing I guess. In any case, I think this is the first suitcase I have seen my Monnalisa. I generally don't go for their Disney-themed stuff, just because I think that their signature clothing is so amazing by itself, but this is pretty cute. Leopard print and Bambi are kind of an odd combo, but I don't think a little girl would see it that way. The inside is lined with a silky pink material, adding to the femininity. All in all, I am a fan. It is however... a tad pricey. For $283.00, find this example of cuteness at Children Salon.

Wow... Gucci Baby Carrier!

When I think of baby carriers I think of one of two things: 1) Those gigantor contraptions that 90% of the time you see a husband wearing and carrying because the thing itself weights a ton before you even put the baby in it and 2) The cloth swaddle ones that hipster moms use but have been attributed to a handful of suffocation-related deaths. This Gucci baby carrier defies my previous thoughts. It's sleek and stylish; it's a fashion statement. And how about that cute little bird on the pocket? The carrier itself is cloth bearing the Gucci logo with cream leather straps. Be aware that this is only for children between 7 lbs and 20 lbs. Kind of a small window for a $795.00 baby carrier, but come on, it's fun! Find this beauty at Neiman Marcus.

A Strange Juicy Couture Diaper Bag...

Okay, am I going crazy here? Did I miss a major release or something? Firstly, this bag is so not something I would expect from Juicy Couture. It's just kind of... gross. I do not like the colors; they remind me of either flesh or vomit, I cannot decide. The whole thing seems to be a bit outdated, like something someone wearing a Members Only jacket would carry. Not to be hateful towards Juicy, but this is just not my idea of a cute baby bag AT ALL. It is a terry cloth bag that is listed at $298.00 at Neiman Marcus. I will be patiently waiting for the next baby bag that Juicy tosses out in to the world and hope that it will redeem this mess.

Oilily Paradiso Baby Changing Bag

So I am not quiet about a lot of things: my love of kittens, my love of wine, my disgust towards spiders, my terror towards grasshoppers, my lust towards George Clooney... the list goes on. And on that list: my love for Oilily. Back in the day, I used to get Oilily and Catimini confused. Maybe the funky names and the bright colors and patters, who knows. But now I am familiar and know that I love both of them equally and separately. So this new baby bag from Oilily? I especially love it right now because for some reason, it reminds me of vacation. And right now, things suck at my day job and all I can think (fantasize) about is vacation. The bag is colorful canvas so it is easy to wipe down, always good. Plenty of pockets: also always good. Crazy pattern: love it too. The price? How about a hefty $218.00, from Children Salon.

Rebecca Minkoff Bottled Up Baby Bag

Yes. Everything about this bag. Yes. Interestingly enough, I am not a gold person. At all. But for this bag by Rebecca Minkoff, it just works. I am loving the gold studs embedded within the dot pattern. The bag itself is nylon, so it can be wiped off in case of spills. The trim it all leather. Black baby bags are pretty practical because you know those things get dirty. They go everywhere, get set down everywhere, and this one could look like brand new even after being toted around town for months on end. With plenty of pockets and a changing pad, this bag is a highly functional head-turner. See more details of this $395.00 beauty at Saks Fifth Avenue.

An Interesting Baby Bag from Dolce & Gabbana Junior...

I feel like I am trying to like this bag because it is Dolce & Gabbana Junior and because it has red leather trim... but it is just looking a bit too... ghetto 80's for me. Saks Fifth Avenue describes it as being made of "distressed denim." Okay I get that it is in distress because of the two obvious hand-created rips in it, but this is most definitely what I think of as stone-washed denim. AKA the denim that the horrific camel toe-inducing, high-waisted  80's jeans were made of. Jordache jeans. Lee jeans. BAD JEANS. I'm sorry D&G, even with the red, which usually is an instant win for me, I am not a fan of this bag. It is quirky and unique, so I am sure that some people will find it genius, but not me. Oh, and the price for this "distressed demin" mess? $510.00. Yikes.
