Oilily Travel Print Baby Bag

Why is it that I have been seeing and hearing about travel everywhere I go lately? Last weekend I found a map of the US (you know.. the kind you could never fold back up correctly that lived in your glove box before GPS) and used a yellow highlighter to draw the route of my ideal road trip for next summer. Two months, 36 states, by myself. Yeah. I need to make it happen. Anyway, Oilily is genius to begin with. Bright, bold, beautiful. Their colorful designs are eye-catching to just about anybody, and this baby bag is no exception. I love the craziness and business. And, due to the material it is made from (mostly polyester), you can wipe it clean! See more details of this $269.00 bag at Children Salon.

Oilily Red Floral Puff Ball Skirt

Alright wine drinkers out there... have you officially made the switch from white to red due to the coming colder months? The change for me is almost ritualistic. I cannot drink white wine when it's cold outside. The thought of it gives me chills. The first bottle of white wine is never purchased on the first random warm day of spring, but on the warm day that you know is the start of consecutive warm days. Red is a little different. I cannot drink red during the summer, yet if it is still warm outside and I start to feel ready for fall, I can buy my first bottle of red. This happened tonight, and it is the worse bottle of Shiraz I have ever had. Oh well, you can't win them all. So red wine, red skirt, red roses, it all kind of ties in right? Another colorful gem from Oilily, this skirt is fanciful but made of 100% cotton with an elastic waistband so your little lady will be very comfortable while she is impressing people at parties. A great holiday skirt, this can be found for $82.00 at Children Salon.

Oilily Paradiso Baby Changing Bag

So I am not quiet about a lot of things: my love of kittens, my love of wine, my disgust towards spiders, my terror towards grasshoppers, my lust towards George Clooney... the list goes on. And on that list: my love for Oilily. Back in the day, I used to get Oilily and Catimini confused. Maybe the funky names and the bright colors and patters, who knows. But now I am familiar and know that I love both of them equally and separately. So this new baby bag from Oilily? I especially love it right now because for some reason, it reminds me of vacation. And right now, things suck at my day job and all I can think (fantasize) about is vacation. The bag is colorful canvas so it is easy to wipe down, always good. Plenty of pockets: also always good. Crazy pattern: love it too. The price? How about a hefty $218.00, from Children Salon.

Oilily Bibbi White Poplin Blouse

This weekend I got ambitious and decided to put away all of my winter clothes: sweaters, hats, mittens, corduroy pants, boots. I don't know why I did it. Maybe I thought that bringing out all of my warm weather things would actually bring out warm weather. Maybe I thought that looking at tank tops and skirts and imagining my big ass with winter weight crammed into them would make me want to go on a run or something. Well. I did not go on a run. Or something. And when I woke up, there was snow on the ground. When I was standing in line at Starbucks a bit ago, a random girl said to me "I was in denial this morning." I looked at her blankly, having no clue what she was talking about, until I looked down and saw her flip flops. Apparently she had the same idea. Didn't work for either of us. Anyway, Oilily's springy items are helping us to look forward to warmer months... new in at Forest and Zoe is this white poplin blouse. I am loving the folk look and delicate embroidery. Forest and Zoe also suggests the cutest pair of red check shorts to go along with this, which I agree 100% with. The shirt will cost you $86.00 though, so start saving now.

Oilily Baby Trousers with Frill

Stop Oilily, you are exhausting me. Everything in your Spring/Summer 2011 collection is so fantastic that I cannot choose what I love the most. These pants look almost like pajamas, like I want a pair for myself. Embellished with a little purple trim and bows to add to the already girly floral pattern, throw these pants over a white onesie (or blue, or green, or purple...) and you are good to go. For $54.00, find this cuteness at Children Salon.

Springy Skirts from Forest and Zoe

I have said this lots of times, but I am mildly obsessed with skirts. Skirts for adults:  I wear them to death and use them to hide my disproportionately large thighs. They work amazingly. Skirts for babies: adorable because you can pair them with fancy little sets of bloomers. They can be thrown on over a plain white onesie and you are good to go. Forest and Zoe is a great place to skirt shop because they have tons of colorful options. Clockwise from the top left we have Mim Pi, naf naf, Oilily, and Room Seven, all for between $55.00 and $75.00. I wish they made the Room Seven skirt in adult sizes because I would considering wearing that one myself!

Oilily Spring 2011 Collection: I Am In Love.

Colors and patterns and brightness, oh my! Forest and Zoe definitely perked up my morning (them, and about four cups of coffee actually) when I saw that they started posting pictures of Oilily's new items for 2011. Staying true to their tradition of vibrant colors and gorgeous patterns, the collection is full of eye candy for everyone to feast upon. I picked a few of my favorite items, first being the Timone Fairytale Blouse, which almost reminds me of a crazy 80's shirt I once had. I am also loving the Daisy Blue Sensa Dress with its delicate floral patterns and plenty of ruffles. Lastly, a cupcake purse, because anything having to do with cupcakes is genius. With prices ranging from $186.00 (the dress) to $36.00 (the blouse), Oilily definitely falls into the fabulously reasonable category.

Oilily Navy Delicious Apron Dress

Pastels are not my thing. My walls are chocolate brown, forest green, blood red... you get the picture. I love color. Vibrancy. Patterns. Therefor, I love Oilily. They always take a break from the typical muted soft pastel baby clothes regime, especially with dresses like this. It is almost folk-y and bohemian, like if you pair a bandana on your little girl's head with it, it might be the most adorable thing ever. See this dress for $112.00, and more of Oilily's genius fall collection at littlelunablue.com

Oilily Russian Doll Print Jacket

Remember those Russian nesting dolls? You know, the wooden ones that a smaller one fits inside the one bigger than it, right down to a peanut-sized doll? I have a set that has been mine been mine since I was a baby. My mom says that I used to sit on the floor and take them apart, line them up in a row from largest to smallest, then put them back together again. Then repeat. And repeat. And repeat. OCD much? This Russian-themed jacked by Oilily reminds me of them, and makes me smile. Available for $146.00 at childrensalon.com.
