Stella McCartney Kids: The Collection's Still Expanding!

I remember just a few months ago when Stella McCartney's kid's and baby collection was brand-spankin-new and consisted of just a few cashmere jumpers, a few cotton onesies with cute designs, and a couple other random things. Look at her mini line now, with pages and pages of various designs for our smallest fashionistas! One thing I will always love: fairisle knit. You see it on sweaters, hats, mittens, and scarves... for adults, kids, tweens, and babies alike. It's just one of those classic icons that will always be with us. No exception: the baby hooded knitted fairisle by our favorite Stella. Made from a wool blend, this jumper is footless so you are left with a little freedom for shoes, and a little air if your baby starts to get too warm. Guaranteed to keep your little guy warm, you can buy this for $149.00 at Stella McCartney Kids.

North Face Oso Infant Hoodie

Okay, let's talk about North Face jackets for a moment. To this day, I do not know if this was the case for every college campus, but at THE Ohio State University (my alma matter) back in the very early 2000's, North Face jackets were everywhere: girls, guys, freshman, seniors, vests, hoodies... you name it. It was almost a running joke on the campus. If you were in thus and such sorority, you had to have a North Face jacket (most of "those girls" had the pink ones). If you were in thus and such fraternity, you had to have an all-black North Face jacket. It has pretty much ruined them for me. Even though the idea of a non-bulky fleece jacket that will keep you warm in below-freezing temperatures sounds fabulous, they have just been ruined because of the fact that every single college snob wore one to class every single day. Boo. Now for babies... the "Babies Can Pull Anything Off" rule that I have has taken effect. A teeny tiny pink North Face jacket? Okay. Love it. It's like baby Ugg boots. Awful for adults, amazing on babies. This fleece jacket will keep your little one warm and still allow her to lower her arms to her sides. Find it for just $65.00 at Nordstrom.

Burberry Baby Cashmere & Wool Cable Knit Sweater

It's a mouthful, right? And it's just about as fancy as it sounds. A wool and cashmere blend, this sweater is cable knit in various patterns of braids and lines with a crew neckline and ribbed hemline. You know, all the stuff that makes a sweater a sweater. it even has two pockets so your little one can stash all of the things they are not supposed to have in them. In addition to the cream color, there is also a darker charcoal gray available. See more details of this $145.00 masterpiece at Burberry.com.

From People.com: Victoria Beckham and Harper Seven

She is so tiny! Wait... what I meant is... They are so tiny! Victoria Beckham can be seen here cradling little 8-week-old Harper Seven. The actress is also reportedly back to a size 0 ALREADY. I've never been a size 0 in my life, let alone after having a second baby. I bet together the two of them barely weigh 100 lbs. Okay, I'm done being bitter.

Little Marc Jacobs Knit Animal Scarf

Well I do not think I have ever seen any knitwear like scarves or hats from Little Marc Jacobs until now. Perhaps I have just been overlooking them because this is not traditionally one of my favorite lines (I understand that he is going for the quirky and strange, which normally I am all about, but for some reason, most of the baby things just don't do it for me) but I must say I do love this scarf. It has a bit of a funny shape because it is knit to stay in place (as scarves on babies normally do not) and I like the traditional pattern mixed with some random animals. There is even some gold thread woven in there to give it some flair. Be ready for winter and grab yours for $57.00 at Children Salon.

Kenzo Baby Pre-Walker Boots

As if coming back from a four day weekend isn't hard enough as it is, my four day weekend was with my best friend in Chicago (visiting the Nordstrom on the Miracle Mile - amazing.), and we woke up with colds yesterday. AND I spent way too much money. AND on top of that, I accidentally made my car payment twice this month AND Sirius XM randomly charged me $157.00 for lord knows what because I pay for my XM radio on a monthly basis. Sometimes I think days like this are a kind of a test. Most people act dramatic, lament about how it can only get worse, and post a woeful Facebook status about how awful their day is, yearning for those "Hang in there!" comments. I decided to turn it around by donating some old items to charity and ordering extra spicy boneless buffalo wings for dinner (my favorite). Remember, no matter what happens, you can always turn it around if you just try. SO, back to these adorable pre-walker boots from Kenzo. I find them interesting because the pale pink corduroy and floral pattern look like something you'd see on a spring dress, yet they are on fur-lined boots meant for snowy days. The little rainbow ribbon trim even ties into a bow in the back. Maybe these boots are another reminder to "turn it around," and that even at the end of the nastiest of winters there is always a beautiful spring. Wow I can be cheesy. Find these little cuties for $46.00 at Children Salon.

Flirty Floral Hamper from Posh Tots

Who took my advice and has tomorrow off, making for a fabulous four day weekend? I am all packed and ready to hit the road for Chicago tomorrow morning. A mini road trip is great for the soul. Lots of thinking and music and... driving. Which reminds me, I need to charge my iPod. So I have been cruising websites for about 45 minutes now trying to find something that strikes me enough to write about. And after all that I choose... a hamper. Why? I don't know. Maybe because I have never written about a hamper before. I know that my hamper lives in the closet. It could have pictures of slugs on it for all I care because no one ever sees it. But I suppose it's different when it's for a baby. Everything for a baby is supposed to be cute and sweet and adorable, even the things that most people don't see. So, the Flirty Floral Hamper from Posh Tots would be a great choice. I love the mixing of different colors and patterns, like a quilt. Except a hamper. The downfall? It's $133.00. For something you throw dirty clothes in. But if you have the big bucks, why not?
