Well... here is the latest addition to the category of "Things That Just Look Expensive." Made from an uber-luxurious blend of silk and wool, this blanket has the Gucci crest (rather an updated version with a cute little bunny) on one side and blue and red stripes on the other. As I sit here in my condo freezing and not wanting to get ready for work, I would love to wrap up in this and crawl back into bed. And sleep until spring. Ready for the price tag on this baby? How about $546.00. Wow. Find it at Children Salon.
Whatcha looking for?

Juicy Couture Velour Baby Blanket
Dare I say this is the first Juicy Couture baby blanket I have blogged about? Upon doing some pinning I noticed that Juicy was missing from the list of luxurious baby blanket I have come across. Thanks to my friend Google, here is the first! Made from soft and cuddly velour (of course a Juicy baby blanket would be made of velour), I am loving the four-square design and the little bows that adorn the corners! For just $68.00, find this at Shop Sugar Babies.

Gucci Heart Baby Blanket
Another Monday. It is weird to think that it's October... In the Midwest, September is usually an extension of summer. Indian summer. The warmth feels different, but it's still there. Yeah, not so much this year. This year, we had rain. Then more rain. Then just when you thought it was done, it would rain again. So good riddance September, this week's forecast is already a world's difference. So thinking of dreary cold, let's talk about this gorgeous and girly baby blanket from Gucci. Why knit someone a blanket when you can buy it from Gucci? Made of soft pink wool, the GG logo forms a heart in the center, which is a pretty genius twist. Imagine receiving (or giving) this at a baby shower. Talk about shock value. Oh, speaking of shock value, how about the price tag: $280.00, from Neiman Marcus.

Cute Travel Blankies
I still have road trips on the brain, bigtime. I think that everyone should find a way to take a road trip across their country, that is at least a month long, at some point in their lifetime. If you live in the United States like I do, this is a pretty big feat. I have one planned for this coming summer that spans 39 states over a two month time period. Now all I have to do is save up enough money to quit my job and do it. Sounds easy enough (haha). So these adorable blankets are travel-size (21" x 21") and come in a variety of fun patterns and colors. One side is soft and fuzzy and the other side is a smooth satin, AND there are matching car seat covers! Now I would not recommend a cross-country road trip with a small child, but one of these little blankets might make a trip to Grandma's house a little easier. And they are only $29.00, at 2 Little Monkeys.

Fendi Baby Zucca Cashmere Blanket
Kind of almost speechless about this one. We all know Fendi is a big name, and with a big names naturally come big prices. So here we have a Fendi baby blanket, made with a cashmere/virgin wool blend, with the all-over Zucca print. It comes with a storage bag (not pictured, because it is ugly and I'm not sure who would ever even use it) and is 36 1/2" x 52". What do you get when you combine all of these elements? How about a $447.00 blanket. No, I am not kidding. Not gonna lie... some designer baby blankets just look luxurious and expensive but this one... I just don't find it to be that cute. At all. I know many will disagree though, so if this is up your alley you can find it at Children Salon.

Monnalisa Patchwork Blanket
One year in college, I lived with three other girls. What a mess that was. But one of the girls, in her free time, sewed a quilt. She went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought all different materials that she liked, which was a daunting tast in and of itself considering the amount of material they had there. Then she cut all the pieces into little squares. Then she HAND-SEWED them together, added some stuffing and a solid back side and voila: a patchwork throw. It was amazing and I loved it, but she worked on that thing for like five hours a night for maybe three months. I lack that kind of dedication. But ever since then, I have had an affinity for patchwork blankets and quilts. So naturally, Monnalisa who I love to begin with, comes out with a patchwork blanket! One side is soft ivory fleece while the other side is patchwork squares with a pink fleece trim embellished with bunnies and the Monnalisa logo. LOVE. Find it for $166.00 at Children Salon.

Armani Baby Blanket in Gift Box
I have seen a lot of baby blankets cranked out by the big name designers, but I surprisingly must say that this one may be my favorite. It isn't just a recognizable pattern (i.e. Burberry baby blankets) or just plain expensive for the sake of the name (i.e. Hermes baby blankets), but it is a soft fleece blanket on one side and jersey cotton with an adorable pacifier pattern on the other side. AND, the Armani logo is tastefully embroidered in one corner. Soft brown colors also make it acceptable for both sexes. AND, it comes in a branded gift box. Well done Armani, this is pretty genius and is likely to be a huge seller. You can get yours for $121.00 at Children Salon.

Animal Print Baby Blankets
I never thought I would say this... but the animal print thing is kind of growing on me. I think it's because whenever I go shopping with my mother, a former animal print hater, she ooo's and aahh's about how much she now loves animal print scarves, shirts, etc. I feel like if my mom likes it, then it can't be trashy because my mother is a very classy and fashion-forward woman. I am especially loving these animal print baby blankets that I found at 2 Little Monkeys. The fuzzy velour animal print mixed with the soft pink satin make for the ultimate luxury for your little one. And priced at around $64.00 each, these won't break the bank either. They have many other patterns and styles too, be sure to check them out!

Dolce & Gabbana Floral Print Blanket Set
So the fashion psychics were pretty accurate when they said that florals were going to be the big trend this spring. So far, my favorite signature patterns are Fendi's dainty flowers and Dolce & Gabbana's girly rosebuds, as seen on this blanket, hat, and booties set. Whoever decided to pair the pattern with a soft periwinkle blue was pretty much a genius; it is a gorgeous duo. Aside from this set, D&G also has shirts, onesies, and bibs in this same floral motif (the word motif ALWAYS makes me think of Mrs. Doubtfire to the point that I almost cannot use it seriously). So this set without any of the matching clothes costs a heaping $360.00. Being in style don't come cheap y'all.

Armani Baby Blanket Gift Set
This is genius! I definitely just talked about an Armani blanket 2.5 seconds ago, but Lavish Kids all of a sudden has a ton of new Armani baby items, and I was smitten with this as soon as I laid eyes on it. Talk about a unique logo! Who doesn't love wiener dogs? Well, I'm sure a lot of people don't, but this one is so cute. And look at how he is just walking right onto the bib. I almost wish this gift set came with a dog rather than the signature little Armani duck. Adorable, expensive, $150.00, I want it.
Armani Baby Blanket
How I love designer baby blankets. I always love to see the patterns and colors and logos that all the big-name designers use for their blankets: from Burberry's endless variations of plaid to Fendi's Zucca print. Then you have cases like this, where Armani goes for the traditional with a cluster of cute little bunnies smack dab in the middle. It is a baby blanket after all, it just happens to be a $115.00 Armani one. See details at Lavish Kids.

Just A Sweet Little Fendi Baby Blanket.
"Adorbs," as a friend of mine would say if she saw this. Of course, people like us will only ever see a Fendi baby blanket in pictures. Unless we win the lottery. Or a sugar daddy. The lottery is more likely for me; I think my thighs are too big for me to ever be a trophy wife. Aaaaanyway... Ahem. This blanket is a knit wool blend with cashmere added, very soft, feminine colors, and of course that Zucca pattern that identifies the big name. Found this for $208.00 at alexandalexa.com, a website that I haven't run across yet and am excited to explore!

Burberry Cashmere Check Baby Blanket
Not much I can say about this... It's a baby blanket, made by Burberry. Made of cashmere. Made of the Burberry plaid pattern. So yes, it is expensive. $450.00. Kind of insane. Found at burberry.com. That is all. Signing off.

Bonnie Baby Pink Stripe Cashmere Set
When I was poking around childrensalon.com, I came across a name I have not yet seen: Bonnie Baby. The price tag on this cashmere set was quite large, $224.00 for the matching hat, booties, and blanket. Turns out Bonnie Baby is a fairly new designer, they popped up in 2004. The clothing is described as "luxury baby knitwear" and has attracted celebrity fans such as Gwenyth Paltrow and the Crown prince of Denmark. The founder and designer's name is Tracey Samuel and she began making and selling children's clothing after the birth of her daughter, Alice Bee. I love a great old-fashioned success story and am adding Bonnie Baby to my yes list. See more of this impressive collection at bonniebaby.co.uk.

Fendi Baby Cashmere Blanket
Designer baby blankets are kind of an anomaly for me. When I was little, I had multiple blankets. They all had names, but the only name I can remember was that of my favorite pink blanket that I randomly called Annie. When I did something good, I got a new blanket. I may or may not still sleep with my first blanket ever (knitted by my grandmother that I came home from the hospital in) to this day. I took my blankets everywhere and they in turn took a beating because of it. If you purchase a designer baby blanket, like Fendi's Zucca Print Cashmere Blanket which retails for $345.00, you might want to keep it under lock and key. It can be your baby's favorite blanket... but only in the comfort of your own home. See details of this lovely luxury at childrensalon.com.

Burberry Baby Blanket
As you can imagine, any baby blanket with the words "Burberry" and "cashmere" used to describe it is undoubtedly expensive. This blanket is no exception, with a price tag of $375.00. Some things I still cannot wrap my mind around. See more expensive baby items at neimanmarcus.com.

Ralph Lauren Crochet Cardigan and Blanket
Now this is just precious. A perfect baby gift, this Ralph Lauren cardigan and blanket set is dainty and feminine. I am just loving the ruffle trim around the bottom of the cardigan. The blanket can be purchased for 125.00, and the cardigan for $65.00, at neimanmarcus.com.

Roberto Cavalli Rabbit Fur Blanket...
Hmmm.... this is an interesting situation. This blanket looks gorgeous. It also looks soft, and I'm sure it is, being that it is made of rabbit fur. Now, I like rabbit fur. When it is still attached to a rabbit. I can't help but think about how most kids love bunnies. They see one in the yard and go crazy. Little would they know that those cute little bunnies were used to make their blanket. It seems kind of sick, but that's just my opinion. If this type of thing is your bag, and you have $370.00, visit boutiqueforchildren.com and check it out.

Guess the Price: Hermes Baby Blanket
Legendary French designer Hermes is not exactly known for baby items. There really are only a handful. But what they lack in quantity they certainly make up for in price. This wool and cashmere blanket, measuring 40" by 56," will set you back a whopping $680.00. Would the owner have to be constantly boasting that the H's stand for Hermes? I for one would never guess otherwise. For the millions of people interested in purchasing this blanket for the very reasonable price, it can be found here.
