Kate Spade has new baby bags!

So I am pretty much head over heels with this bag because it contains two of my favorite elements: black and red as the main colors, and tiny polka dots. Kate Spade just had a website overhaul and a plethora of new and cute items have been added to the mix, this bag being one of them. The black leather is even accented with 14 karat gold hardware, which is great, but I am still smitten by the red nassimi lining. The price tag on this baby is a reasonable $345.00. And, it can maybe pass as a beach bag when your little one is all grown up and doesn't need it anymore. Maybe.

An Affordable Designer Diaper Bag from Armani Junior

I almost thought this was a mistake when I saw that $150.00 price tag, especially considering the cost of many of the clothing items and accessories cranked out by Armani Junior. But alas, it seems to be correct: a very affordable diaper bag that is stamped with a very recognizable designer logo. Here is my main qualm with this bag though: I think it looks a little cheesy and fake, like if I saw someone out and about with it slung over their shoulder I might mistake it for a knockoff. Complete with a bottle carrier, stroller straps, and a changing pad, you can find this diaper bag at Neiman Marcus.

From People.com: Marcia Cross and twins go for a run!

These three don't seem to mind the fact that the beach looks absolutely gross! Taking a run down Venice Beach, Marcia Cross and 4 year old twins Eden and Savannah are all smiles... see more at people.com!

Fendi Baby Three Piece Set

Does anyone else think the school bus yellow box is a bit odd? I mean here you have this white gift set with sunsuit, hat, and little socks, accented by pink and ruffles. And you put it in a bright yellow box? Really? Maybe I am being petty, but the box just doesn't work for me! The clothes are cute though, $146.00 at Children Salon.

Chloe Baby Pink Leather Shoes

After almost a week hiatus, we are back! Designer Baby took a bit of an extended weekend to Chicago for some much-needed retail therapy. It was amazing to see the baby items that I have been blogging about in person at all of the high-end department stores. It made me wish I had a pregnant friend to purchase for! So for the welcome back post, I have chosen some classic Chloe prewalker shoes. Soft pink leather accented by tiny silver studs, these little shoes perfectly demonstrate Chloe Baby's clean style with a little pizazz. These shoes are going fast, with two of three sizes already sold out at Children Salon, for $87.00 a pair.

Tutu Dresses from Trixi Lou Couture

Okay, everyone needs to stop what they are doing and go visit the many, many pages of tutu dresses at Trixi Lou Couture. I am 1) a very visual/imaginative person and 2) a lover of having pictures, of everything. So with every single one of these precious dresses that I see, I am imagining photo themes and opportunities: birthdays, Halloween, spring, glamor shots, etc. There is something for pretty much every single occasion. These are a must-see, especially for the very reasonable price range: from around $40.00 to $150.00. Too cute.

Silk Crib Bedding: It's As Expensive As It Sounds.

Sometimes thinking about the cost of furnishing and decorating a baby nursery baffles me. By the time they are three years old, they have outgrown the crib and most likely the theme as well. Yet people still go absolutely nuts over having the perfect nursery. I guess it's the meaning behind it: bringing your baby home to the most perfect room with everything he or she needs, something that was created just for them, as the first place they will ever call theirs. When you look at stores like celebrity favorite Petit Tresor, the baffledness (is that even a word) only increases. I recently read on Twitter that Tia Mowry met with Petit Tresor yesterday to plan her baby's nursery. I wonder if that planning included silk crib bedding like the above-pictured Lulla Smith Stella Silk Bedding. Perfectly feminine in cream and pink, accented with bows, just the bedding, never mind the crib, costs a whopping $1280.00. I cannot even imagine!

Roberto Cavalli Baby Demin Onesie

I am trying so hard not to laugh at this onesie because I actually think it is really unique and cute... but doens't it kind of remind you of Jersey Shore? Not the denim part, because as all Jersey Shore watchers know from the last episode when Deena wore head-to-toe denim she was ridiculed as being out of style, but just the outfit in general. It reminds me of if Affliction made baby clothes (Maybe they do? If so, I do not care to write about them), yet somehow, it is kind of adorable. Maybe it's the whole "babies can get away with anything" thing that is helping here. Denim with a soft grey hood, silver branded buttons, Roberto Cavalli logo on the side... all this can be yours for $99.00 at Children Salon.

Little Marc Jacobs Can Be A Little Weird...

Sometimes I just don't know what to make of the Little Marc Jacobs collection. I mean, in general I like weird things. I just do. (Bonus quiz: name the movie this quote is from: "You're a big, dumb, weird thing. You shouldn't be married; you should be studied.............. answer? Debbie to Uncle Fester in The Addams Family Values). Apparently I am in a weird mood tonight. But this onesie? It might just be a little too weird for me. Maybe it's the whole half gorilla/half man who is shaped like Peter Griffin from Family Guy that is stopping me from liking this. If you like weird, this onesie can be yours for $71.00, found at Children Salon.

From People.com: Sarah Jessica Parker and baby Tabitha

Look at the cheeks on this little one! I wonder where that adorable sweater she is wearing is from. I wish I was savvy enough to do all the research to figure this stuff out! Apparently Dean & Deluca is an organic market in New York City that I am not savvy enough to know about either. Sounds expensive!

Stella McCartney Kids: Now Available at Saks Fifth Avenue!

Yay, I was hoping that this would happen eventually! Stella McCartney's fairly new baby and kids collection is starting to become available at Saks Fifth Avenue. I have always been a huge fan of her simple little onesies (which are made of organic cotton for all you hipsters out there) with the cute linear animal pictures on them. And now they have been made into a days of the week onesie set! Also a huge fan of how the "days of the week" clothing items like socks, bibs, onesies, etc. are making a fairly big comeback. For this charming set you must pay a price of $139.00.

Gucci Baby Polo Dress

This is another one of those items that can be added directly to the "you can tell it's expensive just by looking at it" category. New from Gucci's baby collection, this little pink and white polo dress is proudly covered with the very recognizable GG print. So the predictably high price for this? $135, found at Neiman Marcus. Be sure to check out other items recently added to mini-Gucci: shoes, fedoras, outfit ideas, more cute stuff than your credit card can handle.

Fancy Floral Dresses from Little Posh Princess

You will definitely find a wide variety of clothing at Little Posh Princess: from swim suits to shoes to accessories to dresses... in styles ranging from a punk rock hipster to a classic conservative. It's almost a bit much for me to take in, but if you have a minute or an hour or so, and are in the mood to casually browse, it's definitely worth checking out all of their collections. My favorites right now are anything springy and floral (obviously). Happy first official day of spring everyone!

Fun Gift: Juicy Couture Diaper Covers

Juicy Couture Baby knows how to make neat little baby gifts: they have plenty of bib sets, days of the week socks, onesie sets, and even diaper cover sets. What I think is kind of neat about this set is that instead of having three diaper covers of all the same size that your baby will outgrow fairly quickly, these three are all different sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and 6-9 months. Now she can stay in style for at least almost the first year of her life. Little crowns, bows, and fancy stitching make these little diaper covers anything but average. Purchase the set for $58.00 at Lavish Kids.

More Designer Baby Sunhats!

Dolce & Gabbana... you keep making me swoon with your cheerful spring patterns this year. I am head over heels for the cherry print that I keep seeing. Both of these sun hats are D&G Junior, and both are embellished by delicate white eyelet underneath the brim. These both were found at Lavish Kids, which at first seemed to be slow to add new items for spring and summer (maybe I think that because my go-to is Children Salon, which brings in new items pretty much daily), but now their seasonal things are out in full-swing. The price you must pay to own these pieces of cuteness? $95.00 each.

Orlando Bloom with baby Flynn!

Okay, I have always loved Orlando Bloom, but this picture makes me love him even more. Something about guys with babies just makes me absolutely melt. Look at the way he has his arms wrapped around him. So, so precious. Read more about Orlando's thoughts on being a new dad at People.com.

Armani Baby Pacifier with Case

We're baaaaaack!! After the week at work from hell, I am so happy to be able to start posting away again! I am also overjoyed at the fact that the sun is out today. I have my patio door open to let some fresh air in, even though it is only 45 degrees out. That can be fixed by turning the heat up to 75 or so. In any case, here we have an Armani pacifier and a carrying case. I know this is more of a novelty thing, but really? A pacifier carrying case? Maybe I am out of the loop and these things get used fairly often, but I would probably end up putting chap stick and nail polish in the case. At least when you are walking around town, when people look at your baby's cute little face it will be hard to miss the Armani logo. Buy yours for a gigantic price of $75.00 at Children Salon.

Armani Baby 7 Days of the Week Bibs

Looking at these bibs, all I can think about is how much I want to see someone, a baby, a deranged adult, anyone, wearing the bib that says "Friday." We found out at work on Monday that we are being audited this week, and it has been all downhill since then. No time for fun, no time for blogging, no time to think about anything but scrambling to put everything together at work. I miss college jobs. Panera was never this stressful. And we got free bagels like every day. Anyway, I thought these bibs from Armani were appropriate for my current mind frame. Three more days until Friday! See these for $148.00 at Children Salon.

Miss Blumarine = Very Very Expensive Shoes.

Now these are some serious sandals. Blumarine is a brand that I am not incredibly familiar with as of yet, but seeing these shoes makes me want to get very friendly with it.Things I love about these pairs of shoes: 1) the high-ankle strappy gladiator style, 2) the tasteful use of rhinestones, and 3) the Blumarine "B" charm that is delicately attached to them. These shoes are definitely head-turners and would set and baby apart as a little fashionista. Ready for the price? Drumroll..... $195.00 each. And, almost every single size is almost sold out at Children Salon, so somebody out there has some money to spend.

More French Findings: Les Grenouilles Collection by Lucie Vall

My French obsession continues. Newest find: Les Grenouilles. Meaning "frogs" in French, this collection is designed by Lucie Vall, whose daughters are nicknamed "the frogs." Hence the name. I love little factoids like that. Anyway, Lucie has roots in BonPoint and Agnes B., and her classic forms and use of patterns are reflective of this. Again, I am a huge fan of the trend of classic yet modern that seems to flow throughout French children's clothing.  Also a great part of this collection: bonnets.

Call me old school, but I have always had an affinity for baby bonnets. They seem to have been replaced by fedoras and beanies and paperboy hats, but as Mrs. Doubtfire once said, "A classic never dies, dear." There is just something precious about a baby out on a walk in the park wearing a little bonnet. In any case, if you are a lover of unique boutiques (say that ten times fast) as I am, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Juicy Couture Cherry Print Leggings & Shirt

I used to manage a restaurant. When interviewing potential hires, I loved to ask interview questions that people did not expect. One of my favorites: What is your biggest pet peeve? My least favorite answer? When people would say, "I don't really have any." Those people usually did not get hired, because they were boring. I have many pet peeves. I cannot stand adults who use the word "yummy" to describe food. You sound ridiculous. I do not like the noise people make when eating bananas. I do not like when people pronounce the word "leggings" like "leggins." Which in a roundabout way brings me to this adorable set by Juicy Couture. I love cherry print anything, which is what first attracted me to this. Then I saw that the cherry details are embroidered, giving the whole outfit an old-fashioned look, which I love. This seems to be a very different style for Juicy, props to them for stepping outside the box! Find this outfit for $68.00 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Fancy Birthday Hats from Teacups and Mudpies

How great are these? Teacups and Mudpies is one of my favorite online stores to poke around in because they just have such a huge variety of things to drool over. I have been on a birthday kick, maybe because mine is quickly approaching, but I am really into all of these unique little things that you can find for a special birthday. And hats like this would be a great item to keep throughout the years. Selling for between $30.00 and $33.00, be sure to check out the other designs not pictured here!

From People.com: Charlie Sheen's Twins Are Almost 2!

Yes, I will admit, I have started following Charlie Sheen on my personal Twitter account. I am sick. But it's sooo entertaining. On March 14, his twin sons Max and Bob (mom is Brooke Mueller) turn the big 2.

Summer Hats from BbK

I was first turned on to the Bbk Collection from Catherine Seixo here, and have been a huge fan ever since. One of my absolute favorite things about this collection is the incorporation of hats. There are different styles, different patterns, and they match not only one dress or shirt, but many. The spring and summer collection has made its debut on bbkcreations.com and once again, the hats are at the top of my list. What can I say; I am a sucker for French couture.

An Expensive Baby Gift: Hermes Baby Spoon and Fork

My one request would be to attend a shower where one of these sets may even possibly be given as a gift. I imagine it would be professionally planned and probably deserve a spot on a reality show. Hermes does not produce a huge amount of baby items, just the basics: hats, mittens, blankets, and various gifts, including this spoon and fork set. Made of sterling silver, each piece has the signature rocking horse carved into the bottom. How much? How about $510.00. Absolutely mind-boggling.

Baby Dior Coral Stripe Sun Hat

It will not stop raining in the midwest. Waking up to the sound of rain is such a conundrum. It is soothing and makes you want to keep on sleeping. It also makes you wake up and think, "Damn it, it is raining." And, "It is so gloomy outside; all I want to do is sleep." Point being: it needs to stop raining. I get the whole spring showers thing, but come on. So thinking positive thoughts, let's look at this sun hat by Baby Dior. It is bright and cheery, with contrasting stripes forming stars within. The thing that cracks me up about it: its price tag reads $109.00. There is a matching poplin dress, sold separately, and both can be found at Lavish Kids.

Juicy Couture Kids Toy Stroller

This is probably going to sound pretty stupid... but as an adult, for some odd reason I sometimes really miss playing with dolls. I loved having different cribs and cradles for them; I never had a playpen but for some odd reason I was obsessed with them and always wanted one. I used to pack baby bags with clothes, both doll clothes and my own clothes from when I was a baby, bibs, toys (also mine and my brothers old baby toys), bottles, you  name it. It's weird, because I have a large crawl space in my old bedroom at my parents' house, and there are two baby bags in there, still packed, from the last time I used them. That's how they are stored. And when I go home for the holidays, yes, I still crawl in there and look at what I had packed in the bag that one last time before I somehow got too old to play with dolls. Don't know where that trip down memory lane came from, but I blame a very rough week at work that is making me more emotional than usual. One thing I never had: a Juicy Couture toy stroller. This one by MacLaren was modeled to look just like the adult version, so your child's babies can ride in style too. I actually think the price is very reasonable, $85.00 at juicycouture.com.

Cute and Simple Dolce & Gabbana Logo Set

Nothing crazy, nothing out of this world, but little details like the frills and bows paired with the repeating D&G logo are all you need to make this three piece set lovable. This strikes me as a great baby shower gift for someone who would never expect to get designer baby clothes. Sidenote: I have a friend who is pregnant and is refusing to tell anyone the sex of the baby until after the shower because she does not want to get clothes. I am looking forward to seeing her face at the shower when she opens box after box of yellow duck outfits. Anyway, this set is new at Lavish Kids and boasts a $155.00 price tag. Maybe if my friend would tell people that she is having a girl like we all have already figured out she is, she would be lucky enough to receive this outfit. Instead, she will get ducks. C'est la vie.

Very Expensive Baby Bloomers.

Oh BonPoint. Your prices never cease to amaze me. In their summer collection you will find these adorable little bloomers. Have you ever seen a pair of $50.00 bloomers before? Well, here they are. I have winter jackets that cost less than these bloomers (yeah, I shop at Target. So what?). I could either buy groceries for the week, or a pair of BonPoint bloomers. Sometimes (all the time...) I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where money was not an issue. You see something that is cute, you love it, you buy it. End of story. Maybe someday. Big maybe.

Roberto Cavalli Baby Girls Animal Bibs

Baby animals are just about the perfect thing to brighten up an otherwise crappy Monday. I think my mood started to turn while watching America's Funnest Home Videos (I mean it is pretty hard to be fussy while watching that anyway) and there was a video of this fuzzy baby brown piglet trying to bury itself in a gorilla slipper. Just try to be in a bad mood while watching that. So, continuing on with the baby animal day-brightening theme, these new Roberto Cavalli bibs are pretty adorable. Soft cotton with contrasting trim, these bibs depict the signature leopard cub and a baby zebra that I not seen in Cavalli's baby collection as of yet. Find these for $54.00 at Children Salon.
